Archie at 5 years old

As quite a few people reminded me, I'd been saying for years that one day I wanted a dual registered (KC & ISDS) son of my Jack. I thought perhaps time was running out, as Jack was over 11.5 years old when this litter of 4 dogs & 3 bitches was born. Imagine the thrill then of being offered first pick of the boys!

Archie was bred by Sue Large & joined us here at Darian on May 5th 2001. He fitted in beautifully with the rest of the pack & is everything I ever wanted in a Jack son. His stunning temperament is displayed to everyone he meets, both human & canine alike - he assumes everyone & everything will be happy to see him & his confidence is rarely misplaced.

Archie's development was exactly as I would expect from his lines. Very slow to mature & the finished dog doesn't appear until age 3 or 4, but well worth the wait! Just like his father before him, Archie draws the eye and elicits admiration wherever he goes.

P.S. See the `naughty spots` on his nose? He's used up every one, but in pure bubbly mischief, never wickedness :)
